Hydrotherapy, also known as Aquatic Therapy, is a proven method of rehabilitation that focuses on exercise, movement and hands on treatment performed in a warm pool environment of 34°C. Aquatic Therapy can either be used independently or in conjunction with traditional, land-based physiotherapy.

It differs significantly from pool exercise classes, as it offers personal one-on-one hands on treatment from highly qualified physiotherapists, also in the water with you every step of the way.

Especially helpful for people who have difficulty with weight bearing activities, the water's buoyancy assists in supporting the weight and decreases stress placed on the joints giving freedom and independence from walking aids and wheelchairs whilst in the water.

Whilst suitable for most people a thorough assessment by our Aquatic Therapists takes place to ensure each client receives the appropriate treatment and programme to meet his/her individual needs and goals. We will also liaise with your medical professionals if needed.
